Heart of Niagara Animal will attempt to find homes for adoptable dogs on Saturday and Sunday at a booth during Lewiston GardenFest, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Center Street near the corner of Fourth Street.
In addition, Heart of Niagara also will be present for the Dog Days of Kenmore in Mang Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
Both events will provide information about the pet adoption process, upcoming events and volunteer opportunities.
Also available will be information on Heart of Niagara Summer Picnic, which will be held on July 12 in Oppenheim Park. The picnic is open to all dog owner and their dogs. Tickets are $12 for the barbecue lunch.
Heart of Niagara Animal Rescue has adopted out 180 animals since their inception in January 2013 and operates solely on donations and support of the public.
