TOWN OF LOCKPORT – Police arrested a 17-year-old Saturday night after he called the 9-1-1 emergency line 45 times over a one-hour period and threatened to stab a dispatcher.
Matthew C. Hathaway of Ruhlman Road was arrested late Saturday after allegedly making the calls between 8:11 and 9:13 p.m., sheriff’s deputies said. He reportedly told investigators that he did it “for fun’’ and as a joke. Hathaway was charged with second-degree aggravated harassment and faces a hearing in Lockport Town Court.
