LOCKPORT – The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office and State Police charged a man believed to be breaking into cars in the Woodlands Trailer Park over the weekend.
Joseph J. Zavarella, 27, of Lockport was stopped by police Sunday and admitted to breaking into several cars Sunday morning and also stealing more than $1,000 from an unlocked vehicle on Friday. He was also found with a crack pipe with cocaine residue, police reported.
He was charged by State Police on Sunday with fourth-degree grand larceny, petit larceny, attempted petit larceny, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
