CAMBRIA – A stiletto switchblade was taken from a driver who was stopped on his third drunken driving charge just before 9 p.m. Sunday in the 4200 block of Plank Road.
Cody J. Robichaud, 30, of Youngstown-Lockport Road, Ransomville was charged by Niagara County sheriff’s deputies with felony driving while intoxicated because of previous convictions, operating an unregistered and uninsured vehicle, refusal to take a breath test, speeding and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
Deputies said Robichaud was stopped for speeding and had an odor of alcohol on his breath and then failed roadside field tests. A search found a switchblade/stiletto in a front pocket. He also had previous alcohol-related driving convictions on Mar. 6, 2006 in Cambria and Feb. 5, 2008 in the Town of Lockport, according to a sheriff’s report.
