WHEATFIELD – Another snowmobile has been stolen, this one from a yard on Mapleton Road. Several such machines have been stolen in recent weeks in the area, sheriff’s deputies said.
The latest theft occurred between midnight and 8 a.m. Sunday, when a 2010 Arca valued at $12,000 was removed from a trailer parked behind a Mapleton Road home. The owner told deputies he believes the thief had also intended to steal the trailer, but may have been thwarted by a lock on it. Deputies believe the recent thefts may be related.
