LOCKPORT – A Buffalo man was charged with driving a stolen car into the Town of Wheatfield in an indictment unsealed Thursday in Niagara County Court.
Giang T. Cao, 29, of Elmwood Avenue, pleaded not guilty to third- and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and second-degree unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
He was arrested Oct. 31 in Wheatfield. The car was stolen in Erie County, Assistant District Attorney Kevin D. Canali said. County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas hiked Cao’s bail from $750 to $10,000.
