As part of its Person First Forum series, the Museum of disABILITY History, a project of People Inc. will host U.S. paralympic athlete Adam Page from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the museum, 3826 Main St., Eggertsville. Lancaster resident Page, born with spina bifida and hydrocephalus, will present “Living an Independent Life, Making Dreams a Reality.” Page started playing sled hockey at age 6 and went on to participate in the 2010 and 2014 Paralympics, as well as competing in four world championships, winning two gold medals, including a silver and a bronze. The picnic commemorates the Americans with Disabilities Act, a law passed on July 26, 1990, prohibiting discrimination on the basis of disability. Transportation is available. Goodwill’s approach is holistic and person-centered, with all services individualized to achieve goals consistent with the client’s employment preferences.
