LOCKPORT – Two men pleaded guilty Tuesday in courtrooms here to selling crack cocaine in separate incidents, and both were assigned to the judicial diversion program of court-supervised drug treatment.

Pleading guilty to third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance were Grandville J. Sanders, 26, of LaGrange Street, Lockport, and Ronald E. Peterson, 53, of Jerauld Avenue, Niagara Falls.

State Supreme Court Justice Richard C. Kloch Sr. warned Sanders that he risks 12 years in state prison as a repeat felon if he washes out of diversion. Sanders sold crack in the City of Lockport Aug. 15 and Sept. 3.

Niagara County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas handled the Peterson case, where the ultimate penalty for diversion failure is as long as nine years behind bars. Peterson peddled crack in Niagara Falls Sept. 24 and Oct. 1.
