LOCKPORT – Wayne Payne Sr., 57, of Michigan Avenue, Niagara Falls, pleaded guilty Tuesday to selling crack cocaine to an undercover police officer last year.
“Fifty-seven?” an astonished Niagara County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas said when she asked Payne his age. “You should know better.”
Payne, who is to be sentenced Sept. 23, joined Lavon D. Parks, 23, of 18th Street, in the Feb. 21, 2013, drug sale. Farkas sentenced Parks April 4 to the state’s boot camp-style “shock incarceration” program, with two years in a regular cell if he flunks out.
