NIAGARA FALLS – A Michigan Avenue man is accused of letting his dog suffer for two days and eventually die after it was struck by a car.
Gary A. Morrissette, 32, was charged with animal cruelty at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday after Niagara County SPCA called in a report that Morrissette had left his dead dog in a blue bin on his front porch.
Morrissette told police that the dog was hit by a car two days earlier, but he did not have the money to take the dog to a veterinarian for proper treatment.
