LOCKPORT – The second phase of spraying for bedbugs in the Trott Access Center, a Niagara County office building in Niagara Falls, will occur this week.
Robin DeVoe, deputy public works commissioner for buildings and grounds, told the County Legislature’s Public Works Committee on Monday it was a “minor” bedbug problem. The work by Buffalo Exterminating will occur after hours. A third dose of bug spray will be applied in the building Aug. 30, DeVoe said.
Buffalo Exterminating was called to Trott, 1001 11th St., after a county worker saw a bedbug July 29. After two bedbug-sniffing beagles went through the three-story building to find target areas, the first spray was applied on the night of Aug. 1, only on the first floor, which is the only place the bedbugs were found.
