LOCKPORT – Matthew McAuley, 15, of Lockport, has been named the winner of the Niagara County fair 2014 logo design contest.
Matthew, a sophomore at St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute, was chosen through a public online vote of prospective logos reflecting this year’s fair theme, which is “A Good Thing Growing: Celebrating Niagara County Agriculture.”
Matthew will receive his $100 prize during the Farm-City Breakfast, the fair’s kick-off event on July 30. The rest of the top 10 entrants also will be recognized at the breakfast, and all the submitted logos will be displayed during the fair. The fair runs from July 30-Aug. 3.
