The Seneca Nation sent a $31.6 million quarterly payment to the state this month as part of its revenue share payment agreement. Since its 2002 agreement with the state, the Senecas have paid more than $1.1 billion dollars.

The April payment covers the quarter from October through December in 2013 and revenue from all three Seneca properties:

• Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel generated $738.5 million in state revenue since it opened in 2002. Of that, $184.6 million was paid to Niagara Falls. This includes the city’s $18.2 million share that was part of this month’s payment.

• Seneca Allegany Casino & Hotel earned $282.3 million in state revenue since it opened in 2004. Of that $70.6 million was paid to Salamanca and Cattaraugus County. This includes $7.2 million from this month’s payment.

• Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino earned $87.1 million in state revenue since opening in 2007. Buffalo was paid $21.8 million of that, including $5.7 million in this month’s payment.

Once New York receives the money, it is responsible for distributing funds to local communities, said a Seneca press release that described payment details.
