Catholic Charities Appeal retains two campaign leaders

Richard Cronin has been named parish chairman, and Mary Elizabeth “Beth” Mattimore has been named community chairwoman for the 2014 Catholic Charities Appeal, Bishop Richard J. Malone and Sister Mary McCarrick, Catholic Charities diocesan director, announced Tuesday.

Cronin, a retired claims representation for the Social Security Administration, and Mattimore, deputy regional attorney at the National Labor Relations Board, served in the same roles in last year’s drive.

Goal for the 90th annual campaign, which extends through June 30, is $10.8 million. Appeal Week will be April 6 to 13. The theme of the 2014 Appeal is “Heart at Work.” For information or to make a donation, call 218-1400 or visit www.ccwny.org.
