Hold on to your hat today.

There’s more wind, and more cold weather on tap.

Temperatures will be in the low to mid “teens” Friday, but the gusty winds will be with us throughout the day, making it another chilly day in Buffalo.

The wind chill advisory is set to expire at 10 a.m. Friday, although the National Weather Service may issue another advisory for tonight. That decision will be made after more data comes in, said Meteorologist Jim Mitchell.

It got down to a low of 7 degrees overnight, and with the wind, it felt like minus 14 degrees around 7 a.m.

The wind will continue during the day and into the evening, with gusts up to 30 mph, and some snow showers this morning will become scattered flurries this afternoon, Mitchell said.

“Tonight, everything should clear out, with lows in the mid- to upper- single digits,” he said.

The winds will subside Saturday, and the highs will reach the upper teens. It should get to the low 20s on Sunday.

“It will feel a lot nicer when that wind subsides,” Mitchell said.
