TOWN OF LOCKPORT – A thief may have thought he hit the jackpot when he stole a winning lottery ticket from a Buffalo woman’s car on Saturday. No such luck.
Sheriff’s deputies said the ticket was stolen from a car parked on Jim Kelly Drive early Saturday. The victim, who was visiting there at the time, told deputies the ticket was worth only $2.
At least one other car on the same street was also broken into overnight Friday, deputies said, but nothing was believed to have been taken from that vehicle.
